Those cheap Vevor wheels are up for sale

I knwo they aren't wanted by everyone (I've got them and they are adequate for me for the moment) and I don't know if they are often on sale, but I thought I'd throw this out there:

Jesus their cheap, anyone fitted them to an aerotec? Wrestling with the original wheels and their buoyancy, stopping me getting them fixed into the bottom lug is becoming an ordeal.

Incidently I changed the wheels for solid ones and dropped one of them in the water at baiter slipway, had to search on the seabed for it, nightmare scenario, not finding it would have been a disaster as far as recovery, I was on my own.

I have very similar ones (probably the same) on one of my boats and they're grand. The only advice I'd give is to make up a little lanyard/wire trace to keep the pins attached to the transom. They're easily dropped and you don't wanna have to go fishing for them. I just have them strung together with a carabiner on the end.

I've just bought a pair of these for a tender

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203630230017

He's now put the price up, they were £46 delivered 2 weeks ago when I bought them
One of the pins had the sprung ball missing and he refunded me £12
Bargain for £34

And a vote for User Name's suggestion about attaching pins to whatever with a line. One of my pins is at the bottom of the Trent at Beeston Marina .

Quite a lot of butterfingers here... I hold onto my wheels and their fixings with a grip of iron when over water.

It's when you're leaning over the transom holding the wheel down under the water with one hand and trying to get the pin in. Massive PITA, I hate it. But rather that than running with the wheels up - no room next to engine.

I'd love to take credit for being clever, but I've lost more kit overboard than I care to think about and I'm a slow learner, but I eventually get there.

Anchors,.my dad used to lose them daily. Throwing them over untied was a scene, motoring off without pulling them back up another and the king of em all, falling in whilst holding one. Sitting here smiling, it was worth the money spent, happy days.

Just in case you haven't clocked it, I went over both legs and bracket with a metal file, looking for burrs.

Yes I have to be honest I thought they highlighted the elegent solution the original wheels are with just the small unobtrusive button as the sole visible fixing. However if these work for you that's the important point.

I have both but these seem easier to use. Had a similar pair on a zodiac fr , they had slots, once the wheel was pushed under the water the buoyancy kept them engaged.

There not as elegant i will grant you that, they lack the French panache.

I have deburred the sharper edges and took some off at the top of the transom.
