looking at engine size your not going to be tearing about and in rough conditions i would sit on the tube only whilst underway, as for the seat it looks ok to me other than you need if you haven't got already some foam/neoprene between the tube and seat to stop chafe, i would also make some outward facing timber hooks so the seat won't slide out from under the lifelines.IMO
