Tiller extension

Looking for a tiller extension so I can sit on the seat and have weight forward in my bombard 380 aerotec ,
Anyone own a 380 or know the approx length I would need and recommend a good one for a Yamaha 15 outboard , would measure but boats not with me at the moment and want to get one asap ready for next trip

I'll do anything with weight trimming first as I hate using a "floppy" tiller extension. However on the Aerotec I did use mine when one-up and running a 15hp 2-stroke. I moved the tank and anchor bag as far forward as possible and then trialled some runs to work out the best extra tiller length. In my case it was just 30cm. I had an old days all metal tiller extn and cut/fixed it to the length that was best after some testing.

It's heavy cast alloy so with the two fixing clamps and four nuts becomes as if the tiller. No flex, no play.

I just bought a Trem tiller extension for my 360.
I think it’s 80 or 90cm at its shortest and I must say I wish I’d got one that was a bit shorter.

Having said that, even with three or four onboard (so not sitting so far forward) it’s great to have a bit of extra length on it… You can just steer with the middle of it. So good too if you need to stand up in the boat (going slowly!).

Not so good win you need to make a tight turn and you or other people get in the way.
I’m going to try and shorten it a little - 40 to 120 would have been perfect but hey….
