Transom Mount Gas Tank, Good or Bad Idea

I am setting up my Bombard C4, I have a jockey console that I am going to mount up front and I will be seated just past the half way point on boat, going to add a small bench seat in back for passenger with a 50hp Tohatsu, so where is the best place for the gas tank, I have storage under the jockey console but would like that for my gear, battery and misc items, don't want to use the bow area that will be for my dog and easy on and off when beaching, so is a transom mount gas tank going to be to much weight for the back when passenger is onboard sitting in back, or should I use the jockey console for the gas tank.

Pic of 6 gallon gas tank I would like to buy or should I do something different.

Six US galls petrol is less than 18 KG.

Wouldn't think that was a game changer.

Won't make a difference with a boat that large.

Although my preference is a 12gal in the bow.

I would say you would be about right weight wise, I like those tanks very neat you might have to play with trim a bit depending on weight of passengers, kit , dog etc but you have plenty of power with 50 horses.

I used one of those tanks on a West Marine 340 rib and 15hp Yam and it didn't make any difference. Kept the inside of the boat tidy too.
