As SIB guys we chose them because we transport them inside vehicles and have them as our primary boats and of course we mod them as RIB guys mod RIBs. Do you RIB guys really need 2 x 300hp lol

But with a SIB that's probably 2.7-3.0 meters your very limited when it comes to modding your propulsion, it's usually down to a petrol or electric outboard choice and that's it, fitting the small twins is a good project and does give one a 'mini' RIB looking SIB Gotta say, it would look good especially on a pimped up SIB I think I may still do the project over the winter I've picked up a new condition waveline that would be ideal, I'm just trying to think of a suitable pair of slim enough 2 stroke outboards to use I thing to make the project a real good planner a pair of single cylinder 6hp's at least is needed only one draw back is this is going to mean fabricating some type of double throttle linkage. And for an easy removable stearing linkage they must have the front carry handles like the tohatsues used in the YouTube project above.

What's the slimmest, single cylinder, most hp 2 stroke outboards? Al that comes to mind is yamahas? Are there yammy built 6hp mariners?

I don't normally try to be part of the "safety warden" group, but if you do decide to copy them please attach both kill cords to yourself - I mean what could possibly go wrong with unconventional engine set ups...

I have used 2 outboards on a sub but they weren't joint stealing controlled. . . it was challenging to say the least lol

done on a RIB..

Tried it about 8 years ago on an Avon 3.10 RIB. 2 x Yamaha maltas both short shaft.
6.5 knots with one engine 15knots with two. Slow acceleration but once up and running great fun! Only did it the once as neither enine had kill cords but tracked straight and was good fun!

putting up a video.. PS not doing this again due to killcord issues.. but once was a try, and I was attached to boat on a very short safety harness!
