UK Aerotec dealers needed

I live in the United States and am trying to find a UK dealer that will ship me an Aerotec 380.

Can anyone PLEASE help me identify who the biggest Bombard or inflatable dealers are in the UK, or online, so I can get in touch with them and see if they will ship to me??

I would really appreciate it! My grandmother is from Truro, Cornwall if that means anything to you.

Cheers
Dan

No importers in the US? That would surprise me, as Bombard is part of the Zodiac group (Zodiac, Avon and Bombard, last I knew.)

Zodiac distribution did recently change hands, though, so...

Personally, I'd check Zodiac dealers in the US and Canada first (less import hassle.)

You are correct about the group but, for some reason, the Zodiac dealers sell everything but the Aerotec here (even though we have two very large coasts). I don't quite understand it.

I'm visiting an inflatables company tomorrow and will call Zodiac marine on Monday, but not a single US Zodiac dealer lists Aerotecs on their websites...

You could try these:

Barnet Marine Centre
www.ribs.co.uk

Ron Hale Marine

Makes you wonder if there is some federal regs similar to the EU Recreational Craft Directive that they either decided weren't worth getting approval for or cant for some reason get approval for..?

I think you are on to something there, and does the US even allow individuals to import non domestic products ?

I'll try to find out why Zodiac doesn't sell the Aerotec line here. But there are much fewer restrictions when something is imported for personal use. Barnet said they would ship it. I will have to pay shipping and some import duties and fees but I don't have to pay the 20% VAT, which helps considerably.

That does not seem to be a very popular model in the US. I have only ever been asked about one once and I have been working on inflatables for 25 years.

probably because that aren't sold in the US. the only way I heard about them was from scouring rib net.com. these forums have really only been around for a decade so before that it would really be hard to find out about the aerotec if they weren't on the showroom floors

FYI - Barnet and Chas Newens both ship to the US. The cost is around £300 to the port or £500 door to door, neither including duties and fees.
