I went to Jones's Boatyard, near Huntingdon, launched on the Ouse, with my Zodiac 310 + 9.9, crewed by my wife and son. Short trip up the river and up a back water where we anchored and swam and snorkelled.
During the trip, we saw a couple on a smaller Zodiac with a 4 hp engine, and some people in what looked like a GRP hulled boat with an added inflatable collar (rather than a RIB). They seemed to be having great fun exploring and getting stuck under low branches. Was it anyone in this forum?
We had a great day out. The water was refreshingly cool, the sun was hot enough to dry us. A few bank holiday boaters out driving their boats badly, but no big problems.
