Forgot to update this from September last year - my son at a slim 16 can still make it work but crazy things are possible - a 50 + bloke at 70kg can even kneeboard and mono behind a 15hp Aerotec!

Technically that is - does not really compare to a 400hp ski Nautique but it was fun for a few minutes.

That is mighty impressive for a 15hp. We wake board with the zapcat all the time. Pulls me up at 100kg with two in the boat no issues.

It was more getting dragged for me (and the ski I used is a mahoosive thing, size of two normal skis) - had to drop one of course on top) and then it was just a slow plough before dying but just wanted to see what was possible really. I'm getting back into skiing after 15 years away but I'll stick to the local ski club and lake for that.

Kneeboarding was OK(ish) for a bit of fun with the 15. We will try more if I can ever find a 25 at the right place and price. Bought a nice used bundle last year with a fibreglass/graphite compression type kneeboard with decent edges rather than the rotomolded lump above and a reasonable wake board so need to try those.

At the end of the day it's about fun for the kids though.

Nice pics Max. The only time anything like that will happen with our outfit is if Mrs F falls out and I can't pull her back in... so I've warned I'll just tow her to the beach.

Out on the water at 7.30 for a couple of hours messing about this morning sure beats an early start in the office and a nice break for the kids from their ‘bedroom classrooms’.

And the good old Aerotec and Mercury 15 is still coping with my growing kids, pleased to say the wakeboard worked out great!
