What’s it worth - 2.8M Zodiac and 4HP Merc.

Now we’ve picked up a Bombard 380 Aerotec for the Smaller Nashers we need an engine, which will have to be funded by the sale of their old boat and engine.

Trouble is I’ve no idea what either is worth.

The engine is a 4HP Mercury which I’d guess is a 90’s model, but it runs and pumps water very well.
It’s very clean inside the hood, good condition on the outside and I’ve serviced it regularly. It’s always been flushed after use and washed down.
The Smaller Nashers have found it very easy to use as it has all the attributes of a larger tiller outboard, such as twist grip throttle and proper Forward, Neutral, Reverse gearbox.

The SIB is quite an old Zodiac which the transom plate states is a Z-4.
It’s in quite good very useable condition, ideal as a tender or for Kids to much about in. There are NO patches on it anywhere.
I’ve stripped the transom, painted it with Blue International Paint and added an aluminium clamp plate.
It originally had wooden slats for a floor, but I’ve converted it to an airdeck and strengthened the bottom seams to ensure it doesn’t come apart. We also have an inflatable keel for it but we didn’t ever use it.
It rolls up into it’s original storage bag which is made out of the same HD material as the boat and is also in good condition.
I also still have the original wooden slats and bow board.

The combination is easy to transport around in the car or our 6.5M Rib. We blow it up when we get to the beach to use as a taxi to and from the Anchored Rib, plus the Smaller Nashers tear around in it all day with their friends.

So come on guys, what’s it worth before I offer it for sale on here or Ebay it.
Under the circumstances I can’t give it away really cheap but understand it’s by no means new.

Nasher.

Any ideas anyone?

Need to move it on, but can't give it away.

So far I've had 4 PMs asking how much I want for it, but I won't know that until somebody(Independant who doesn't want it) gives me a clue what they are worth.

First PM came from Hightower, so he's currently got first refusal when I know.

OK, I'll get the ball rolling. My guess is that the boat might be worth something like £300-£400 and the motor £200-£300.

Probably worth more here where you have a track record of looking after your kit, than on EBay where it might come across as a bit random. But then again you never know!

I'd say £200 for engine and like JK £300-400 for the boat, I'm up Norf though and things are a bit cheaper here.

Thanks for the input guys.

I'm up for actual offers on both of them now then, although I'd rather they went together.

Looks like I have lots of competition for sourcing a 15HP 2-stroke.
