What stops you taking the sib out?

There must be a hundred reasons why you’ve not got the boat out as much as you’d like. Maybe missed a weekend you’d planned in or even not used it in a long time. I’d love to hear them, give me the heads up for when such time arrives, hopefully help me be prepared.

I’m new to sibing, but have all sorts of hobbies and interests. Some that get parked, others I keep chipping away at, many I entertain regularly. I’d imagine time is a massive factor. But what else?

Cheers, Jon.

I’m hoping to make my maiden voyage later this summer. I’ve discovered boating off the back of a few months of great weather, watch next year be a wash out!

I can motivate myself through the faff I think.

It’s so near to the salesman’s closing trick if the deal looks to be slipping away…. “What can I do to get you into this car today”.

My job does involve a lot of forward thinking. Maybe that’s why I asked about people’s reasons for not using their boats as much as they perhaps want to.

I’m actually spending my day off today tinkering with my shed layout. Main aim is to make space for boat, engine and the rest. To ensure loading and storing of equipment is as seamless as possible. Don’t want that side of things hindering a nice break away.

Even if you told them Jon, I very much doubt anyone outside of Wigan would understand what the hell you mean!

In answer to your initial question - work & weather.

Haha probably. Although the word has a link to a German word somewhere down the line. Think it means overcome with emotion.

This is all very intriguing.

I think that you probably ought to change the thread title to "Guess Jon B's Profession".

I’ve not driven a boat yet. Would you like to be my first customer?
