Just bought a F470 at a great price. Some assembly required.
Any one know what year the first F470 hulls were produced?
I'm guessing early 90's , saw a 93, I remember the first Grand Raid hulls, but not the black boats.

Thanks.
The hull design is from about 1983. There was a civie Futura that was the hull design out of red/black PVC. I think Zodiac started to pioneer the combat hull design in about 1986 or so?
The Mark series pre-date the grand raids even.

Thanks mate, I had a GR Mk II I loved, and I remember when the Red/Black Futura hit the high end marinas in Calif, just could not remember the year the FC went into service,
The first Futura's were actually hypalon. Looked almost identical to an FC 470 but black with red trim and a different grade of fabric. Also less wear patches and D rings. I had a 1983 about 15 years ago that was a lot of fun with a Yamaha 40 on it.
Thanks mate, some of FC 470 boat #366 will see mother ocean again.
I'm removing the healthy bits , (bow bags, hand rail, bow D-rings, yards of hull material) to be married with my Avon CRRC 4.5.
