What's missing... Aerotec 380
Found a cheap Aerotec 😂 this is the stage it all goes wrong.
Owners description to me.
It has the white rubber floor.
Me: so it has a inflatable floor or solid one?
Owner: no it's rubber, It's missing the bit which goes in the middle underneath. I was going to get one made but it's fine it works without
Me: so what's this part called, I don't know which bit you mean
Owner: I don't know it's to make its shape. I'm not really clued up on this boat.
Sooo. What is this part the owner says it's missing?

I'm asking because I want to buy this boat... But I need to know what it's missing to see if I can buy it seperatly.
If I know I can buy the part. It's then atleast worth going to see what condition it's in

OK in that image appears the whole air floor missing making it near worthless.
Much depends on his use of English... does he mean it has the "white rubber floor" or it should have but doesn't??

Well I seem to recall him saying it was a white rubber floor.
That's when it threw me out. I don't know alot about the Aerotec as never seen one in the flesh. But thought the white floor was inflatable and formed the deep "v" they are renowned for in a sib.
But now. As you have said... Does it come with the floor. Or is that what is missing?
But he did say if he got one made he'd make it out of fiberglass.
My question left really.
What other types of floor did these come with. Being from the start of production.

They all have a white high pressure inflatable floor that gives the boat its hull shape and rigidity. It's removable and there is a black outer layer that forms an integral part of the boat.
It seems like the inflatable floor is missing, and without it the boat it not usable in any real way although it will still float.

I'm going to take it as it's missing its inflatable floor, seat and oars. Also has a slow puncture on one of the tubes. Therefore not making it a worthy investment for me.
But maybe good to be used for repairs to another Aerotec as the price of £350 reflects
Onto the next one I find 😂
Thanks for your help.

I'm guessing he is referring to the fact it should have "a white rubber floor" and that if he wanted to try and use it he'd make a fibreglass one.... because a replacement air floor is more than the cost of a used Aerotec.
Without the proper floor the only use for this boat is for someone who has one where they've badly damaged their tubes but have an OK floor.
Any attempts to DIY a floor totally negates what an Aerotec is about.
This guy is either clueless or trying to encourage/con you to buy something he knows is near useless as it is.

Fenlander: I did fear that's what he was trying to do. As he called me up to tell me about it.
I shall dodge that one. And carry on looking.
Think I've narrowed it down a bit to either a honwave t38, Aerotec, or something along the lines of deeper "v" airfloor. As these are the only type of sib I haven't yet owned or tried. And want to avoid buying either new as I won't own it long enough. Given my previous history of boat ownership. Swapping and changing

If you want a V hull SIB it has to be an Aerotec and it is the white inflatable floor that creates the V. To be sure we need a photo of the floor but as others have said it sounds like it is missing the critical bit that makes it work. Though you say the seller says there is a white floor, I only see the black bottom of the hull in the photo.
To be complete a second hand one should have HP floor, boat and ideally seat, bow bag, oars and pump! At least that is is what I got for £650 last weekend.
