Yea your right mick, them are seasonal pitches only £2,000 for the season March > November the owners pick the Hobby as they are quite a bit bigger than normal and cheaper as you need a commercial vehicle to tow them (so I am told) must admit at £2,000 its got me thinking about 1 myself, just got to try and persuade the wife.

When you start to see the Tarmac going down you'll know that the people with the 'motor homes' have got a reduced seasonal deal going!

The pitch we were on is non electric (I have a solar panel) £28.00 for the pitch £5.00 for a boat on a trailer £33.00 a night
Wow.

Farmer Bills field, no electric (I have 2 big leisure batteries), shower or toilets, running water of sorts. £2 per adult per night. Boat launch, but I don't know if he charges, if he does it won't be much.

No, it's East Tarbet, (sorry put an o instead of an e) it's just below the Lighthouse on the Mull of Galloway.

Quote:
Directions Take the A77 from Stranraer to Portpatrick, then the A716 to Drummore. Follow the signs to Mull of Galloway, cross the cattle grid and East Tarbet is on the left and West Tarbet on the right. Park near the cattle grid

That's a good way up. We're heading up the west coast Next week, going over to Skye, then probably get as far as Applecross, before cutting across to the east coast. It all depends how long we stay in any one place.
