I had a 380s (2001) and it was spotless when I sold her a few years back. So long as there are no patches, the transom looks solid and the hull is sound they are a great boat

Had a 25 on mine, great fun. Used to put a line around the front and push toys rather than pull from the rear to protect the transom

i sold my 10 years yam360 last year. it was still ingood nick. it had no patches and stayed up. i pulled ring and knee board with kids from transom with a 20hp yam.

things to check.

transom in good nick, soild.
transom attached soild to tubes, check glue
check floor, wood not rotten.
check alumun stringers which hold floor in place, are they all there and straight.
check that keel inflates and takes up shape
is the bench seat still available
are the two bags for storage still available
are there two oars paddles
are the four vavles ok and holding air
any oxidisation on tubes, looks like yellow staining, its not a problem but just a sign of detiration with age
check for patches on keel
it would be nice to check under floor but u have to dismantle boat to do that 15 mins work.

good luck

I have a 32 year old PVC SIB and it is still in very good Condition.

You should always take it apart though

Thanks for everyone's help, I've checked everything that people mentioned. We even took it out for a half hour test spin around the bay and I'm pleased to say that I'm now a SIB owner and will be collecting it on Tuesday!

Thanks again, its really appreciated!

Just in case you have minor hidden leaks, inflate sib's tubes and keel to 3.0 psi and perform a soapy test, get/buy a pressure gauge if wanting top sib/engine water performance...

Happy Boating

I have a 2005 ish 360s, and a 20hp yamaha... such a good boat, very capable...

Even guys that are used to much more exotic machines fall in love with it when they borrow it. My one has an aluminiumm floor, which is very heavy when in the stortage bag....

I have a massive patch on the rear corner (whole cone and more) due to a trailering incident. But it is strong and safe.

Enjoy the boat, it will be fine.
