I'd be grateful if someone could check something on a map for me as I've not brought one with me. We went up Beinn Lora this morning and I am convinced we could see Colonsay on the horizon.
Stood approx 50 metres W of the summit, looking SW over the NE tip of Kerrera and approx 300 mtrs above sea level. Would the first land looking in that direction be Colonsay and is it approx 30 miles from Oban?

Yes putting a ruler across the PC screen you would just be able to see the top edge of Colonsay over the NW edge of Kerrera from Beinn Lora. Colonsay is about 40mls from that location so yes about 30mls from Oban.

Short video of our trip to Kerrera. I'll post a proper video of our trip when I get home.

You made it to the tearooms on Kerrera - interesting place, nice cake.

The marina restaurant was, um, as mad as a bucket of frogs somewhat idiosyncratic when I dined there back in 2015...

Hi Willk, yep made it to the tearoom, cake was nice but the coffee was (to my taste) excellent, very strong.
Had lunch at Kerrera marina and to be fair it was very good, suburb seafood pizza. But the whole marina is a bit of a strange place.
