Windermere Registration - Byelaws

Last season I didn't get out on the water as much as I would have liked. So this year I've registered to use Redneck on Windermere. It's only just over an hour away so its close enough to get to when I get the chance.
Whilst the paint/lacquer is drying on the boards I've knocked up for the registration numbers, I thought I take a look at the "Lake Byelaws" - surprised to see such ambiguity from a government organisation!

Lovely water though Steve.
My honwave has mainly been just a tender on there lately

It is Tommy. I've only ever sailed on Windermere, never under power, so looking forward to exploring its full length

Is that not 6 knots whilst towing and 10 knots otherwise. It brings back happy memories though - I worked in a boat yard on the Ferry Nab road in the early 90's.

Hi Guy, it's the 6 mph = 6 knots and the 10mph = 10 knots!

Freshwater folk, innit!

Landlubbers are fully aware that 'seafarers' use redundant terms to describe familiar everyday things, e.g.:

Knots = MPH
8 Bells = 8pm
Shiver me timbers = It's right parky out
