Yoga mat on air deck

Our FAQ link above suggests this for air deck reinforcement. Anyone ever done this, or has a better solution?

I guess the FAQ is supposed to discourage questions, but in my case it's spawned one .

IMHO not needed unless you've got a wife wearing high heels in your Sib, a dog with sharp claws, or you go fishing. It's not air deck reinforcement, it's more air deck protection.

You can get some of those jigsaw floor mats from Halfords pretty cheap. They'll offer more protection than your average yoga mat.

Cool ta, I'll look into it. It's fishing, at some point. Worry about sea bass pointy things and hooks, got a 0.9mm PVC boat. I know nothing about fishing at this point, I should add, will be going with a colleague who knows all about it.

When I used matting (dog, not high heels) I tried the jigsaw type as mentioned by User name but found they came apart and caused a bit of a trip hazard. I then used matting like this:-

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/385437073...mis&media=COPY

Worked well and rolled up after use. Don't use anything now and not had any problems with the dogs claws.

Dogs claws will never puncture rib or sib material

RIBase
Had dogs & fished on RIBS & SIBS for years. Never been an issue either with claws, hooks or gill plates. I've had cut hands with Bass gill plates, but never had issues with the boat(s).
