Zodiac valve

The valve on my zodiac (hull) seems to be leaking, without the cap screwed onto the valve if I pour water on its leaking pretty quickly, anyone know how I can check if it's leaking with the cap screwed on?
I hope it is leaking cause otherwise it's punctured.
Only used boat once but found the Mrs sat in it in the garage and hope there was no little stones or anything underneath .... Eeeek

soapy water works!

Its normal for them to leak slightly with the cap off.

Cheers, I'll try that

It was leaking pretty quick without cap on

The only time I've used it a few weeks ago it seemed to hold air fine but now that compartment is deflating.... Not good

Sometimes if the temp cools it can loose pressure. Are the rest staying well inflated and one chamber is loosing air? If so back to the soap and water for the entire tube. Leaks can be found with patience.

The rest of the tubes seem to stay inflated well, all seem to loose some pressure if left standing for a week or more, but this particular tube looses pressure within a few hours...... Soap and water test I think ...... I know punctures can be repaired but I hope it's just the valve, quick easy and cheap fix

Swap the valves round and see if it makes a difference or get a new one you have to keep the bottom chambers topped up regular

Cheers mick, I'll try that, priced up a new valve, less than 10 quid with postage, worth having a spare at that price
