Zodiac Warranty on SIBS

Does anyone know what the warranty period on Zodiac hypalon SIBS?

I have a Grand Raid II from the '80s in need of repair. A friend told me Zodiac boats have a lifetime warranty which I found hard to believe.

RIBase
Pull the other one it's got bells on it!

With a Zodiac PVC sib, then 10-15 years before you start to see seam play, etc. A lot if this is usage, weather and ambient operating temperature, build from bag or inflated all year round. Hypalon, then 15-20+years, again same factors apply.

Grand Raid hypalon boats are great. They are repairable with plenty preparation. Check out Polymarine's site.

Your post has given me a thought for a thread!

Warranty has changed over the years. Mostly 5 years, sometimes a year when used commercially and at one point five years only when the warranty card was sent in, otherwise a year. Also Transferable to second owner with notification to zodiac within warranty period but that has changed too.
Never seen amy inflatable with a lifetime warranty.

Do you have Hypalon or PVC tubes? What kind of issues? 4 years is not long, especially for Hypalon tubes in leasure use.

Correct 4 years isn't long, infact we've been repairing very tiny holes since owning it which I thought must of been from fish spines, however we are now finding small areas where 5-6 extremely small groups of holes appear. These are very difficult to find even with soapy wash. Last repair day I fixed 14 holes, my kids found another 7 this week. PVC tubes.

This week I've just had an expert who builds tubes for the navy check it out who claims to of seen faulty material like this very occasionally before. He claims my only option even though he doesn't recommend the stuff is to put the latex goop into the tubes. Zodiac dealers are very few over here now unfortunately so taking my tubes to a dealer involves extreme expense, with the main one being 4000km away.

Our Zodiac 285s still looks new after nine years, although it’s kept rolled up in the bag when not in use.

The only thing l noticed is that the adhesive around the lower corners of the transom/tubes has gone brown which is usually a sign that the glue is past its best.
But no leaks or seam failure yet.
