Congrats nice black beauty sib, now you can place sofa inside 470 and move it where it used to be, otherwise wife will tell you to deflete and pack it in a very short time, wifes issues, most rules at home...
PD. Next time you need to assemble side joiners, stringers, apply soappy water to them and floor contour as well, will slide & snap in much faster...
Happy Boating

Whoever has a garage and purchases a sib instead of a rib may be next to be accussed of scrooge in this forum.
Whoever gets a sib and does not test inflate until launching is likely to be an idiot in the sea.
And whoever has a PVC sib and never has to repair it at home is for sure a liar in the whole world.
I wish I had a garage. Just for repairing my sib.

I knew a guy who ran a 12' or so inflatable, transported in the trunk of his Ford LTD; after use, he'd reassemble it on his lawn, hose it down thoroughly, towel dry it, deflate, move it into his living room, and reassemble it. It lived its storage life in the middle of his living room floor.

p.s. I like the monkey keeping watch on the kids in the 3rd pic.

Hahaha inflated in the living room. The kids must have been crazy excited about that new toy. Congrats on the new boat!
I know what is the feeling on having something new, you get anxious to try it right away, being in Canada
Many many years ago, I bought my very first car and it has only a FM radio in it (not even a cassette player...) I saved money and went to Future Shop get a CD player. I was so happy and anxious to try it that I've started installing it in the mall's parking. First thing I realized 2 police cars came to arrest me, they thought I was trying to nick the radio...

That is such a beautiful sight! Of course you had to inflate it!
Wow. A brand new sib. Mine has patches, stains, filled holes in the transom and is fading. I am jealous.
Isn't there someplace local with a pool where you could float in it?

I know this is an old thread BUT... I can't help noticing that the WB465 looks a lot more like an FC470 with the pointed 5 mitre bow but without all the extra D-rings and whatnot. IIRC the previous Avon versions had a blockier and blunted bow, like the CRRC 520 and brethren. Regardless I really dig it!
As for the "boat in the livingroom," I've been guilty of that more than a few times. Before I had a proper, climate-controlled shop I brought boats indoors for glue repairs and when it was too hot to work outside (pretty much all summer here). I can attest they serve as an acceptable sofa replacement provided you adjust them correctly... Assuming starboard tube is facing TV screen, inflate the starboard chambers to about half full and the port side/bow chambers to preference (about 1.5 psi works well). Now you have a 15' wide sofa with built-in legrest and at about the proper inclination for comfortable TV watching.
PS: I don't know if any of you are familiar with AIRE, a company in Idaho that makes whitewater rafts. Anyway they came out with an inflatable camp sofa a while back that's made out of the same fabric as their whitewater boats. Its pretty sweet. Every once in a while drunk/bored raft guides run them through Class III/IV whitewater...quite a sight to see!
