Zodiac Workboats

Afternoon all!
My university dive club may be looking to replace our inflatable Avon with another SIB (RIB is too heavy to tow / too expensive to run for a bunch of students!). It's unlikely to happen until into next year, but does anyone know what price the WB525 is going for these days? And is there anywhere worth contacting re. 2nd hand sales? We can get funding help from the uni for these kinds of purchases, but cheaper is always better and would leave some cash spare to spend on an outboard.

Cheers!

Hens teeth! Hens gold teeth in fact, All boats in the milpro range very rarely come on the s/h market this side of the Atlantic and they're very expensive new.

I'd suggest you look at the Avon/Zodiac leisure range, perfectly good inflatables, plenty on the market and at a more affordable price.

There is an Avon CRRC on B&O at the moment though:
Avon Other Ribs for sale , Ex- Royal Navy Avon CRRC520 Inflatable - Boats And Outboards

Thanks for that link - we're not really looking to buy anything now but I'll keep an eye on the usual 2nd hand places in case something comes up.

The problem with the non-commercial boats is the size really. If we're not able to get a RIB we need a SIB that's at least 5m long to carry 6 divers and I've not found any of them in the leisure market (4.7m is the largest I've seen, but it's too small).

PM sent

The Avon W4.65 list price is £6392 + vat + delivery so add a bit more for the larger one.

Worth seeing if the RNLI have any D classes coming up for disposal, though they're not the lightest things in the world...
