ciao e benvenuto to RIBnet.

They're some waves for Lake Garda. Are there many RIBs on the lake? When I was there some 20 years ago all I remember where some classic, highly polished motorboats.

Garda can cut up really rough in strong northerlies; a few years ago a father and two sons drowned leaving the mother and others clinging to an upturned hull for hours overnight until rescued

the guy who hired the boat with a driving licence got a suspended sentence

The lake is very dangerous for the people that don't know it because, in a hot day of sun when all the boats are in lake, unespectedly come stong wind with hailstorm...

I was at Brunswick Europe dealer meeting i.e. Mercury, Mariner, Boston Whaler, Valiant, Sea Ray, Bayliner, Quicksilver, MMeridian, Black Fin to name a few.

We where never given any intructions not exceeding 20 knoths and the local boaters did not honour the speed limits either.

Bogi

As seen on here we where doing 40 MPH (just over 3.000 revs) and in many cases that was slow
