RIBnet Europe
There is a whole lot of ribbing going on in countries like Greece and Italy that we just don't hear about at the moment.
Obviously, being UK based and English-lanuage there's always going to be a bias on RIBnet, but it would be good to have closer links with other countries. Their weather tends to be nicer for a start!
Michael Vamvakousis is an administrator on the Hellenic RIB forum and he's started this off by creating an English-language section for us. If you're interested in RIBs in Greece then please make the most of their welcome.

What timing !
I have a week in Cyprus at the beginning of Feb ! A spin in the sun might be just what's needed to break up the winter blues
Having a bit of trouble logging in at present but Rome / Athens wasn't built in a day

Hello to everyone. Thanks John, thanks ribnet.
It's true that we have a better weather but if the weather goes windy it's better to find a garage for your boat. For example, the last August i faced during my vacation about 10 days of 8-9 bft winds at the island of Serifos in Cyclades. This weather made me to anchor the boat using 3 anchors.
Well we will talk for our weather. I just wanted now to introduce our forum to you.
We call it HELLENIC RIB FORUM and the link is www.fouskoto1.gr
I am going to change the status in the ribnet link in our forum so you can see what is writen there without log in.
Soon i will upload some pictures and video on the ribnet just to give you an idea about greek rib an seas.
See you and thanks for the welcome.

Hello to All :-)
I am also one of the Administrators of the Hellenic Rib Forum and I am glad to be here as well. I am sure it will be intersting for the members of both forums to exhange views and experiences regarding RIBing. Also, if anyone of you ever comes to Greece for holidays, we will be happy to provide any info we can.
See you around...!

@Batfalcon: Michael, sorry for the intervention, but probably you missed the ''d'' in Dirk's post. He said it would be nice to hear from Manos, not that you are Manos :-)

No we're still the heart of a mighty empire. Or something.
OK, so it's not strictly accurate but I couldn't think of a better name for this section.
"Europe not including the UK" "The rest of Europe" "Non-anglophone Europe"?

How about the united states of europe where everyone would automatically exclude the UK because of the word "united"?
Just kidding!

I think Ribnet Europe sounds spot on.
Besides, I'm quite happy with not feeling European.

Hello i am Nicholas from Hellenic RIB ....
You are more than welcome for any questions / tips regarding potential trip in the Greek Islands mooring, petrol, accomodation etc.
For your information there are also RIBs for rent ...if you wish....for a short visit.....
In addition a very interesting point though with this cooperation is the fact that we may review photos tests and new ribs that either not known in our countries or media is very limited...
For some the Italian forum is a valuable source for all new developments of their manufacturers..
P.S.
How about RIB Empire Europe.........LOL

Hello all from Greece.
My friends from the Italian forum ( http://www.gommoniemotori.com/forum/) advised me of this initiative. Well done!
We too run a forum in Greek language called "fouskoto4all" (fouskoto being the greek word for RIB). As my friends from Hellenic RIB made it clear, we too as well are not related to Manos
You can visit our forum http://fouskoto4all.gr/forum There is a welcome section where it won't be all Greek to you.
Keep RIBing.
