Summer 2007 looking to summer 2008

I thought I'd share with you a nice holiday spot in France. We trailer a 6.12 m RIB and for some time now, we have our summer holidays in the Morbihan which is located in the south of Brittany (France).

The biggest and longest island in the Morbihan is 'Ile aux Moines'. A true paradise if you like to take a stroll or ride around on a bike.

You can sail into the centre of 'Auray', a nice villlage which servers Hoegaerden (a famous Belgian Beer).

Another river takes you all the way up to 'Vannes'. The pink house marks the entrance to that river and is a momument. Even its colour is registered.

'Port Navalo' is the entrance of the Morbihan. Lots of currents here. Before you there are some very nice islands to visit.

Further out there's 'Belle Ile', the biggest island in the region.

Since we're not allowed to post more than 10 pics here on this forum (even though they're not put onto the ribnet server ), you'll have to fly over to my forum: http://www.navis.be/forum/viewtopic.php?t=258

In May 2008 we spent a week there: Look at the pics through this link: http://www.navis.be/forum/viewtopic.php?t=339

Fareham, the town I live in is twinned with Vannes. I've been there on lots of cultural/twinning visits there and toured the area quite extensivley. Had my first Yacht race there and even flown around the Gulf by light aircraft. A terriffic place to live and to holiday in, we have some good friends that live there, which reminds me that a letter or three is long overdue .

Brilliant photo's, lots more on your website that I really enjoyed looking at Chazz man.

Hi MarkM

Didn't I do that yet? Shame on me. I'll do it right away.
