Greetings to all...!! Tip Top here...

Ive been following this rib for some time and feel something is a miss, different descriptions, prices and contact numbers, just a heads up, I've had lots of RIBs and this one does not seem a genuine deal..

Any input would be great as I was tempted with it until I did some digging..

I saw that one and was also tempted, I agree that the price looks a bit too good to be true. The seller looks genuine enough, lots of outboard and boat bits, reasonable feedback, he has published his address and phone number and is encouraging viewings.

Other than the price what makes you suspicious?

Hi Andy,
I had a friend who contacted the seller and asked if any works had been carried out and was advised that nothing had been done and it would require a service however on further investigation its advertised elsewhere saying that it had a recent service, new steering cylinder , new reverse gear etc etc, just seems strange why would he lie? maybe the engine is shot hence the price after all as you said he does have loads of spare engine parts on ebay maybe he a dealer trying to flog a dead horse, or maybe not, just doesn't ring true to me..

Thanks Tip Top, a real puzzle. If he was attempting to sell without a viewing I would agree it is a scam but as he is inviting people to view cant see the real risk. I agree with you though, the inconsistency and price are slightly worrying.

I am really tempted though!!!

Hi Andy,
As they say no such thing as a free dinner and of course buyer beware...

I think if your tempted you need a proper test in the water and it would be worth finding a local dealer to pop it on the scanner £11000 is a lot if its a shed, but cheap as chips if its a good one..
