Achilles and Zodiac

I’ve had an Achilles for an about 5 years and just found an old Zodiac Mark II for $300. The Zodiac has about a foot and a half of extra space plus aluminum floors. I might swap some stuff over to the Zodiac or just sell the Achilles as it is anyway, thought it was time to finally join the forum.

That Zodiac looks a little rough, with a lot of patches falling off. How is the glue on the transom, and floor?

What year is the boat? Is it PVC or Hypalon?

I had a lot of fun with my Zodiac and miss it sometimes. Hope you get to enjoy yours too.

The handles and the patches are coming apart, but the transom and the floor look good except for the inflatable keel is separating from the floor. Lots of regluing to do. Yes it’s very rough but holds air. Most of the repatching will have to be done on the floor. Really crappy work.

That Zodiac is a Grand Raid, inter-communicating inflation nickle plated valves, D rings on the bow, so will be hypalon. Sell the Achillies!
