Haha, I am indeed just a few (>800) miles from any sort of sea fairing adventures, but I still love to boat no matter where I am. Here in Central Illinois you have 2 options when it comes to boating:
1.) Fishing
2.) Pleasure/Sport
I do the fishing and pleasure boating myself. I've traveled quite a bit and have found great tourist style waterways and even better one that aren't so well known. At this particular time however, it's all about the fishing for me so in terms of boating, I stick to aluminum boats with smaller 35hp or less motors as that allows me greater access to more lakes as a lot of the smaller lakes around me do not allow anything motors greater then 35hp.
