Hi everyone,
I've just had my interest in RIBing rekindled by a trip out on Southampton Water in a family member's 5m somethingorother with 135 on the back.
In my younger days I was a dinghy sailing instructor, so used various power boats for training, including some little Jeannaus and SeaRiders. Also used to helm for my parents dive club using a 6.5m?? Picton with 175hp and smaller Humber.
Anyway, looking to get back on the water with a RIB, but need to bring in family now. I went to see a Pacific 22 at the weekend, but not sure it will be easy enough to use for quick trips and holidays in Europe. Going to start with something much smaller to see how we get on and maybe upgrade later on.
Family = Me & Wife (not overly sold on the idea of owning a boat), two boys 9 and 4.
