Hello

Hi I am from Newark in Nottinghamshire and been a SIB user for some time now.
I have got quite a bit of advice from RIBnet over the years as it turns up so often in Google searches.
I have thus far done my boating on a strict budget. I have what some would call a retro or classic boat, a 1978 Lomac 350, Hypalon with Plywood Keel and floor. Until recently I have run a succession of period 2 stoke outboards, including Chryslers and Mercs. I have spent many hours messing and resurrecting them. In truth spending many more hours in my workshop than out on the water. This has changed recently when my Dad bought me a new Tohatsu 20 HP EFI, which is truly excellent and a welcome revelation to our boating experience! I do have some questions about my boat though and I will attempt to put them in the right place on the forum.
Many thanks for having me in the forum!

@ndy

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum... a great intro and a great first thread question to start which I'll move onto over a coffee in a moment. David

I have emailed central marine services. I suspect though that a boat of this age and value will not be economic to repair.

I would think more than the boats worth for sure, might be worth him having a look just to see if it would be worth sticking internal sealant in there both sides of the baffle. Worth getting a camera inside before you start
