Hello all...

We’re Ian & Helen from land-locked Wolverhampton.

We’re frequent flyers down to Cornwall where we keep a touring caravan at a lovely site between Truro and Falmouth - it’s our bolt hole and our favourite place on earth.

When our 3 lads were younger, we had a Fletcher Speedboat which we also kept in Cornwall but it wasn’t the most reliable and although we loved being out on her, after a few years we got fed up with the launching/trailer storage etc etc and sold her.

Then, earlier this year we rented a villa in Cape Coral Florida. It came with it’s own boat with which to explore the 400 miles of canals and the Gulf of Mexico. We were hooked all over again.

So a couple of weeks ago we rented a small boat while down in Cornwall again and had a bit of an epiphany. We got talking to a couple who were hosing down their Honwave inflatable. It seemed like the perfect solution so we hit the adverts and 48 hours later had our own setup - a T32-IE2 and a Honda 4 stroke 5hp outboard.

She was very grubby when we got her but a good clean up has her looking pretty good if I may be so bold.

She had her maiden voyage around the Fal estuary last Sunday and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Hopefully we’ll pick up tips from this forum to make our fun out on the water even more enjoyable.

Hello both.

We had a brilliant two weeks in Cornwall recently with our SIB... Fowey estuary... and are looking to book next year too.

Yep inflatables make loads of sense... the enjoyment per pound spent is massive and it's nice with your own (vs hire) to go where you want when you want.

Look forward to hearing more of your adventures... pics are always good.

David

Hi,

I’m lucky enough to be based on the Helford for most of the summer. Let me know if you need info on launching / eating etc.
