Hello from (FIFE) Scotland
Hi all, i recently sold my merry fisher 695 i had berthed at Port Edgar Marine for the last two years as it wasent as much fun as i thought it would be so i went back to my original idea of getting a good quality sib so i have just bought a STRYKER 380 PRO as the build quility was amazing but had to have it imported from Brittish Columbia Canada i have been pimping it over the last few weeks in my garage ,i added a Tohatsu 20hp Outboard MFS20E EFI 4 Stroke as it dosent need a battery to run.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Build quality looks very good, what is the weight? Are you transporting it on a trailer?
It must have cost a small fortune to have it imported. Don't understand what you mean by "it doesn't need a battery to run", is it electric start?

Yes it's Carbureted so no need for a battery for the engine and have a 20 AMH lithium for the Lowerance elite 9 that will do me two days I made a battery box from a little Peli case

Hi Robert
The quality is so very high when it is down it's about 9 stone as is the engine so not so portable and with all the kit loaded a solid item she won't be going up and down like a fiddlers elbow I was $800 Canadian to import but for a Rib quality Sib it was worth it

Hi, Shearwater,
The outboard you mention does not have a carburetor - it is fuel injection. EFI = electronic fuel injection.

Not sure who Robert is?
9 stone is only 57kg which is the same weight as my Excel SD360 which isn't to bad to put up and down. Does the STRYKER take a short shaft or a long shaft OB? What trailer have you gone for?
With your Lowrance elite 9 I assume you will be using it for fishing?

IMO £3500 before fitting an OB or getting a trailer is a lot to spend on a sib, but I suppose if you've got it, you may as well spend it. Post some pictures when you get it in the water.

Expensive
Yes Steve i got 33k for my Merry Fisher so had a fair size budget did alot of research and they had the best in my opinion i passed my power boat level 2 in a rib and preffered the experience my tohatsu was almost 3k and the lowerance 1k so even including the trailer i have a more flexable boat at a fraction of the cost just have to hide the balance from the wife
