Hello from Glasgow

Hi all, new to the forum and I'm currently bringing one of the first ever Osprey ribs built back to life and so far so good, long way to go but in the next 2 months she will be back in the water where she belongs. I have posted another thread as I'm looking for a control box for an Evinrude 70hp with tilt and trim. Look forward to chatting with some of you!

Welcome!

Good to see another "classic". Is the engine of a suitbale vintage for the hull?

It is within a few years of the make date of the rib.

My engine is a bit more variable age - being the cobbled together remains of 3 (might be 4!) old engines!

How old is the boat? - mine has an '84 dated makers plate.

I haven't a clue on the exact age, as there is no plate or number in the nose cone.

The original manufacturers son has seen pics of her and says it is one of around 10 ever built. And is basically the same hull as the eagle but a little shorter and a little bigger than a sparrowhawk,

I'm going to try and get at least one of the tubes bonded back onto the hull this weekend.
