hi all, new member saying hi! my names Toby i am crew on the Margate lifeboat we have a Mersey class Alb and a D class ILB. i have purchased myself a Tornado 5.3 meter rib with an 85 yamaha on the back from belgium! its home now and the restoration is shortly to begin!! all advice is most welcome! and the same goes for parts!!! at a glance i have patches to put on, lifelines to change, more patches to put on! valves to fix, leaky carbs to plug!! and much more

Hi, and welcome.

I live in margate too.

The tornado won't be the easiest to patch as if it's original it'll be PU but although I've never done it I hermar it's possible.

There is a really good tube guy locally - I'll PM you his number (lives in birchington).

nice one thanks, i have a couple of pals on the lifeboat with me, they both have ribs and they seem to be genius level compared to noob me! so the future looks bright!! lol
