Hello from Yorkshire

Hello, I thought I'd join up here as I'm thinking about getting a Rib in the longer term. I've just returned to Yorkshire on a more permanent basis after working in a few different places. Anyway if everything goes to plan I'll be living on the coast (Staithes), so may be looking at a boat to moor up for long periods.

I'm into my surfing and spearfishing, I can wakeboard (just) after me and a friend taught ourselves a few years ago in his dad's old rib. So combined with day trips and the odd bit of line fishing I'm thinking a Rib is a good do it all machine.

I've booked a powerboat level 2 course in a few weeks time but won't be looking for a boat until the end of the summer/next year, but thought looking on here would help me work out what kind of rib would meet my needs.

Is there an official boat launch at staithes or a harbourmaster.

Welcome to the forum. You'll be fine on here as long as you don't slag Landrovers off !!
Lovely at Staithes, I owned a house down the bottom at High Barrass (poss spelling error) in the early 1980's. Tough spot to access.

Thanks for the welcome. I think there's a harbourmaster of sorts at Staithes, I'm going to investigate everything once I've moved there, first thing is completing on the house!

Although it's only just over a fortnight until my Level 2 course
