Hi,new to Ribs mine is going to be delivered at weekend so was wondering if there are some easy launch and retrieve slipways around the North West of England so I can get the hang of it?

Welcome not a lot that is easy north west of England. Knott end at fleetwood probably close dependent on where you are but it can be a tricky launch and retrieve.

Best bet is Chris at Ty Calch north wales. Do a search and loads will come up

The lake district would offer plenty options although all are speed restricted

What RIB have you gone for?
If you are completely new to Ribs/boats I'd be looking for non tidal/still water, less to worry about and gives you a bit more time to correct those inevitable mistakes. Great place for a maiden voyage is Glenridding on Ullswater.
Unfortunately the North West isn't inundated with good launching spots on the coast.

Hi ,it's a Yamaha with a Yamaha 40hp , I have rented boats on loch etive and loch goil numerous times along with a few times in Greece so not a complete novice just fed up of paying so much to hire decided to get something of my own .Ullswater sounds nice tho.
