hello there!

Hi folks my name is jake from girvan in sw scotland.i am new to sibs but not to boats and have finally realized that bigger does not mean better,lol.i have purchased a new honwave 3.8 airfloor with bf20 honda fourstroke and an sbs launching trolley,also bravo electric pump and new vhf and lifejackets.so far been out twice and launched from ballantrae and girvan slips .really pleased with outfit boat handles really well and engine seems good on fuel too;hope to get a lot of use next year along with caravan.this site has given me a lot of good tips and advice so far;so hi again and hope to meet some of you in person on the water around scotland

Yep welcome Jake.

Nice outfit, I know 20hp gives that bit more oomph on a SIB 3.5m and above... if you are OK to lug it about. They are just over my comfort limit though.

I really like the Honwave SIBs... how do you get on with your air floor... any flexing at speed?

Always make sure you always fully inflate it as per handbook - it will start to "fold up" if you don't.

Hi again ;have noticed floor bulging a little bit just foreward of transom as discussed on here but does not seem to make any differance to speed handling,both times out was in a slight chop and well impressed with boat.had to mess about with engine trim ending up on third set of holes out from transom seems pretty good comes up on plane well and able to shut down while still holding plane well overall really pleased
