Hi everyone

I have been lurking for a while now so i thought i better say hi.
After years of struggling with large speedboats i have finally seen the light and got myself a SIB.
Thought i would get a basic outfit to start and see how i get on :
I am picking up a used Excel SD330 air floor with a 15hp tohatsu 4 stroke outboard and a trailer on sat morning......not looking foward to the 450mile round trip but it will be worth it.
Cheers
Dan

Hi Dan.
Where in the Duchy are 'ee?

Best to run that rig by the sibbers on here before laying out cash.

2 strokes on a SIB usually get the nod over 4s due to weight. Not familiar with Excel boats.

Yeah, I've heard Newquay, it used to be apart of Cornwall.

Where are you then? St. Aus is one coast, Newq is the other.

Yea i know the four stroke is heavy but it will be launched from the trailer so i will very rarely have to lift it hehe. The whole setup is just over a year old and i got it for a good price. 2 stroke 15s are like the proverbial rocking horse poo these days and go for nearly as much as a new 4stroke.

There's a clown on here who runs a campsite near you.

Runs a Ribtec 5.8 with quick release engine mounts.
