Hi from a new member in Devon...

So I've finally bought myself a rib.
A Sea Rider 4M in need of a bit of work.
Looking forward to getting started on her in preperation for next spring/summer.
The tubes are the biggest concern, more patch than tube and very scruffy! Can anybody recommend anywhere down this way that could take a look with view to refurbing them or possibly retubing it if they are beyond tidying up? Click image for larger version

Hi Transportercraft,

Welcome to Ribnet from a fellow Devonian. You're sea rider looks like the basis of an interesting project. I've always fancied the idea of one myself one day.

Henshaw Inflatables are the people around here (ish) for tube work and replacement. Google them and give them a call.

Looking forward to seeing your progress and you out on the water in it eventually.

Cheers.

Dan

Thanks Dan,

Called up Henshaws this afternoon and they quoted me upwards of 4K including the dreaded and nearly 4K for supply only! 😳
At those prices a re-tube is somewhat prohibitive!

Might just have to settle for a refurb!

Anyway, thanks for the welcome, I'll look forward to chatting and (hopefully) seeing you out on the water 👍

Pete

Thanks Jeff,

Better than Henshaws but still prohibitive!
I only paid £250 for the boat and trailer.

Do they do refurbs?

Cheers, Pete

Hi Pete

I would say any of the mentioned would do a refurb and would best advise you but for what you have paid so far there's a lot of scope to bring her back in shape, might be worth looking for one within your budget in better condition I was looking earlier this year and there were some good ones cropping up around the £2000 mark on eBay.

Cheers
