Hi from Essex!

Hi everyone, just joined the forum as I am just about to buy a Zodiac Pro 7 2.4m with a Yamaha 30hp outboard, both being 2006. All looks in fantastic shape and does not look as if it has had much use. Can anyone let me know if there is anything specific that I should be looking out for as I am new to RIBs and this size engine?
Thanks

Hi, where abouts in Essex are you from?

I assume it should be 4.2M not 2.4M

Cheers,

Will

Hiya Tickle & welcome to RIBnet !

As another Hornchurch resident I can vouch for the fact that good cruising areas round here are few and far between

Where are you planning on boating ? Gallions Point Marina on the Thames is about 9 miles , and it's 42 ish to Burnham on crouch .

Thanks Bern. What boat have you got. We don't really know where to go boating as we are new to this. Have done a bit of sailing on the River Blackwater but that is about it. Now changing to a RIB. So any other suggestions welcome. Where is Gallions, is that a public slipway?
Thanks

There's a wealth of information on this forum about good cruising areas and launching slips , but if you are new to ribbing please consider doing a Powerboat Level 2 to get you started safely . The cost of the course is money well spent in terms of avoiding silly first mistakes , and costly damage to yourself and others ( or worse ! )

Perhaps wean yourself in gently with a training course and first cruises in waters you are alredy familiar with ?

You will soon know when you are ready to push your boundaries a bit further . Happy Ribbing
