Hi all, I have just joined RIBnet and have great RIB that I use all year round on day trips for Island beach lunches and helping out as safety/coach boat for kids/youth sailing regattas... I found a RIB factory in Mainland China on the Internet a couple of hours drive from me in Hong Kong ... I went to check it out & was impressed... they make a number of European Brand boats for export and I decided to order one... a 6.35 metre with French ORCA Hypalon tubes and GRP hull & German Marine Grade Stainless Steel fixtures. I had several custom features at no extra cost... eg. Fuel tank expanded from 80 to 120 litres etc... I fitted instrumentation & a music system along with a new Mercury 115 4 stroke... clocked up well over 400 hours over nearly 3 years and it's great! ...good for 50 knots on flat water... have many many great days out on my RIB which has the registered vessel name & Maritime VHF Boat Station name 'Biggus Dickus' with is always good for a few giggles...
