Hi from Labrador

I am a new member from Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada. This is an excellent, well run site with mature, well written posts.
I have a 1996 Zodiac 733 Hurricane with two 130 HP Honda outboards (2001)
Because I live in the north the boat needed modifications to handle the harsher
weather and extend the boating season, barely 3 months of warm weather.
The boat came with a welded aluminum cabin which we have modified and extended. In the past year we have made numerous modifications to make the craft more user friendly.
Folding sun deck.
Extra seating with lockers in front.
Rear seating with backrests.
Removable table with floor mount.
Interior shelving and bins.
New projects.....boarding ladder, helm footrest, rod holder mounts etc.

Really? You must be running some excellent spam software that filters out anything from Birmingham northwards

In all seriousness though, welcome to Ribnet. You are indeed right, there is very little subversive posting, which I am sure is in no small way down to our excellent moderators (well some are )

Labrador must share the same latitude as Scotland. Had to abandon fishing tonight on account I couldn't feel my fingers!

Welcome to ribnet.

Kinda - they're 51-60N. But waaaay colder than us. I'm at 54N and it's positively tropical here by comparison.

Welcome to RIBnet RibRob! Don't pay any attention to those Channel Islanders. They're our Newfies

Hey RibRob, welcome from Australia! Love Canada. Spent some time in B.C, playing around on hurricanes. Had a full guided tour of the Hurricane factory in Richmond

Hey RibRob do you think you could send through some photos of your modifications you've done. In particular rear seating with back rests, helm foot rest and boarding ladder? All things I intend doing to mine as well as a swim platform off the transom-- being an inboard engine! Click on my profile and then my photos . Any suggestions, I would appreciate. Cheers mate.

To all who replied, thank you. I am new to the forum and I may make mistakes posting and answering your questions.....bear with me.
Yes, it is very cold in Labrador. My co-ordinates are N53 19 09 W60 25 33.
Our waters are frozen for about 6 months of the year. Boating season is about 3 months long, you can push it on both ends but the weather is harsh and you better be prepared.
I will try and find some snaps of past projects and post them.
My Zodiac 733 is in excellent shape with new tubes and fuel tanks installed in 2010, it was owned by the Federal Fisheries thus no expense was spared. I purchased the boat in late 2010 and have made improvements every year.
She is powered by Honda 130hp 4 strokes with about 400 hours on them.
Take care.
