Hallo all,
I've joined this forum as I want to buy a Rib for use in the Solent, that can be launched single handed and used by just me and sometimes take 3 crew.
When I have enough experence, I would like it to handle rough weather, so it just doesn't sit in the garden and gets used as a pond for the frogs.
The budget is small £7K, but I have to sell my Jet Ski, sorry, PWC first.
I've noticed that the Rib sellers don't seem interested in a partex.
Has anyone advice as to where's a good place to advertise the Ski.

Is Rib insurance in the same bracket as Ski's? My 155Hp is just under £400 pa.

Hi and welcome to Ribnet. Rib insurance should be much cheaper than that, but clearly depends on the size and risk the insurers have to take. We meet once a month in the Churchillan, every second Monday of the month if you want to pop along.

7k will get you started with a 10yo RIB, but you are buying at the wrong time of year although I guess there could be some bargains out there.

As for insurance. You will find a comprehensive insurance for less than £250 at that budget.
