Hi there

Hi everyone,

I'm currently into canoeing/kayaking and have a small fibreglass dayboat for use on our local waterways, this I'm thinking of selling and purchasing a small sib to make it easier to take on holidays etc.

We are going to Lake Annecy in August and it looks like I would need a whole load of quallifications / insurance etc, my question is does this apply to all engine sizes or are small hp boats exempt?,

I ask as I have a 8cmh yamaha and also a 3.5 suzuki that I would be quite happy pootling around with, if not I'm just going to take my Touring Kayak though would prefer to include my wife and dog in the fun

Andy

Hi Andy
You need to make sure you have third party liabilty to cover passengers or damage to other boats apart from that you should be ok. Hope you have loads of fun out there but be careful Ribs are not like other boats they can be dangerous if misused. Get genned up.
Welcome to ribnet. Bob
