Hi there

Hi there,

New to the forum, and I would like to introduce myself.

I'm Pim, 30 years old and living under sea level in The Netherlands.
I earn my living as a technical trainer at a large Dutch boat equipment supplier.

Active on the water since I was ten years old as a sea-scout where I am still active today as the fleet manager. (Tugboat, classic dutch sailing boats and a dutch sloep)

Recently I was able to acquire a SIB which was returned under warranty. A v-quipment VB300 with Aluminium floor.

Since to boat may only handle 9,9hp it did try the handling and weight of a longtail 15hp. Since this al went well at 30km/h topspeed, i purchased the f15 shorttail.

Which runs great with 35km/h with zero modifications.

Since it's always possible to let it run better I hope to acquire a lot of information about trimming, engine position and props.

After bringing up the engine position by 9,5cm top speed increased to 43km/h

I will start a fresh topic about my boat.

Mvg, Pim Bonne

Welcome to the forum Pim.

A 15hp on a 3m if one up will be quite lively as shown by your speed. I usually think in knots which would be 23kts for your speed. Excellent... when the water is flat!
