Atomix 5M Rib

Hi,

We have had our 5m Atomix RIB for 3years centre console and rear twin seat, it is approx 9 years old. We have a 60hp on it. It is a fab boat, with great space onboard as it is very wide. We had added a turbo swing on the back and will tow a 2man ringo perfect. We had a split in the seam, cone end of the tube and at it was made of PVC it was slightly most complicated to mend, as we wanted to keep this fab boat but due to the age decided to get it retubed. Check on what material the newer RIBS are possible Hypalon, which is easier to due if you get a split/hole. A fab boat and love it! RIB OWNER - UK.

I bought one of these a couple of months back with a Honda bfp 60..... A really versatile little boat.....the thing I notice is that it is quite wide to most Ribs of this length...... A 2.30 beam.....and it seems pretty heavy with a substantial hull.....weight without motor is 360 Kg dry......
It's built in China in the manufacturers own factory.....the tubes are pvc....

In NZ there are quite a few around now......and they seem to stand up well over an 8 year period if they are looked after.....they are cheap and practical......I am delighted with mine.....

Atomix 500

Hi everyone... Here in the US I see there is used Atomix 500 for sale and I may interested in buying. Seems like it's in great shape but I am worried that down the road, if I ever need to replace the tubes, I would be out of luck - especially here in the US where no oe seems to have heard of this brand.

Thoughts on this? Any advice/resources you could give me would be great.
