Just Joined
Hi,
New here but boating for most of my life. Based in Poole.
I have owned ribs for the past 10 years, an Avon 2.5 metre as a tender, 2 x 4.0 metre Avon Adventures with 40hp (first one was stolen when being serviced at Cobbs Quay) 5.6 metre Adventure with 100hp and now a Cobra 8.6 with 275hp which I bought second hand (boat a bit tatty, engine well cared for) last year.
Other boats have been 21ft speedboat with a jet that I resurected from scrap, Rinker 236 with 365HP (cracked block when I bought it, replaced with fire damaged block from a new boat - that was fast!), Sunseeker Monteray 27 with twin diesels (not that fast) and a beatuiful Portofino 31 that I still miss.
Started sailing as a kid and just can't keep off the water. Would now be retired and living in luxury if I had saved all the money I've spend on getting afloat, cars and kids.
Should know better by now.
