Hi Ian. I think the best way forward would be to try to get a valuation for the engine by looking on sights such as ebay, boats and outboards, and also on here perhaps. Most of your value will be in the engine, but a decently set-up rib can demand a decent price. Assuming you bought second hand, if what you paid for it then, still sounds reasonable now, then that can be a decent indicator. You could always go down the brokerage route I suppose. A good yard will give advice on what it might be worth, but you will have to pay whatever the brokerage fees are- either a percentage or an agreed price.
