Just joined. Just broken!
Hi
Just back from two sunny weekends in Menai, unfortunately with a split tube that even the biggest puncture repair kit won't fix,
Anyone with tubes that would fit a 6.3m ocean pro or who knows a good repairer let me know

Never understood why Humber build their cones on with a leading edge rather than trailing, ultimately this leads to the seam opening like this as they get older.
Looks repairable to me. 👍

Are the tubes generally sh4gged, or is it just that one place? I.e. is it worth a repair or are new tubes required, the difference in cost is

They're old
They're wearing thin
I know they're nearing the end of their life
But there's still life in them.
(I think)
They're thin on the top but patched:
I'll post some more pics.

You can just see the stuck on patches to the inside of the boat.
They're there as the hypalon is down to the webbing.
Before the "incident" though they were air-tight

Get it checked over else you could end up just fighting fires and every time you fix one area another one goes, I had that with my original RIB.

It's repairable, the rest of the collar is not suddenly going to fall apart or turn into triggers broom because you repair one seam.

The Midlands are a bit devoid of tube makers! Off the top of my head your options are: Head north (SIT or Eurocraft - are both around Preston), or Humber are obviously on the East coast. Or head south - RIB shop (Southampton), or South west (Henshaws (Christopher here), Tidel (Paul Tilley here), Ribraff) are all in Devon*
RIBstore may be able to help, and there are some small / mobile repairers etc - but if the boat is in N. Wales I would have thought one of the Preston places would be simplest. Unfortunately I don't think either are RIBnet trade members or post regularly on here.
* note the SW mafia may be about to get upset and some of these may be in other SW counties - but for a guy from Scotland they are all Devon or near as damn it!

What's the rest of the boat like? If you start looking at new tubes you are talking Łthousands, a repair will be a couple of hundred. No point chucking Łks at it if the hull is tired. It's starting to look like a project if you're not careful.
