New from Hull

Hi all,

I'm just building my kit up over the colder months to be ready to get out on the water in a couple of months

Just a quick post to say hello

Andy

Hello from me too.

I'm guessing from your post in the other thread you have your outboard purchased, is that to go with a SIB or RIB you already have or one you're yet to buy?

I already have the engine (Parsun 6hp) and the SIB (Honwave 3.8)
Got my Life Jacket and just ordered my VHF Radio (Cobra HH150 Floating Waterproof Handheld VHF Marine Radio) about 20 minutes ago.

I will be using Navionics for my mapping and still deciding on my fish finder, Probably a Garmin Striker 4 plus or the Garmin Striker 4 cv.

Any thoughts in the Fish finder would be appreciated

Thanks

Andy

Ahh you're getting it all sorted from the sound of things. Is that Navionics on your phone? While you are looking at a new fish finder do consider a combined unit with depth and charts. I've had the Garmin Echomap 45 and at £300 or deals a bit under it's a bargain. Yes £175 more than the same size screen Garmin fish finder but you get free charts pre-loaded for the whole UK worth £350+.

If you'd rather stay with the phone for charts then I'd not hesitate to get one of the Garmin Striker range.
