Welcome, The nearest lake will be Chasewater near Cannock. The nearest river will be the Weaver at Northwich or the Trent at Burton on Trent or the Severn at Shrewsbury. The nearest canal is probably 2 miles from your front door.

Welcome Gary. As Sutty says above for nearby inland waterways ( I guess licence fees will be applicable?)... and I'd say north Wales if you want the coast?? Outfit is a little small for the inexperienced on open sea though.

Dip a toe in with this outfit though and take advantage of the experience on here... then consider an upgrade if you take to it.

We've had a SIB for years but last year we seriously thought about a motorhome as a way of expanding our sibbing opportunities. So far though we've hung onto our money to consider it a bit more.

hi gazza, as stated already your boat is on the small size, but of course you cant go too much bigger if carrying it around in a motorhome, so like everyone you make the best of what you have. what is certain however is that you will have lots of fun in it. when looking for cruising grounds, choose places with really interesting rocky shorelines to explore rather than featureless long sandy beaches, this way you wont get bored and you will be the one who has the advantage as larger boats wont be able to do what you can with yours. anglesey is the perfect destination for this, though of course when on the sea you need to do some homework on tides etc.

have a look at the Gurnard's posts, he's had some epic cruises in his sibs you can launch on the River Dee at Sandy Lane just outside Chester

gazza before you buy have a look at takakat katamaran they perform really well with small hp engines, air deck i think they are 3.5m, flat deck very stable they also do a SIB if thats what you want but for a bit of performance might be worth considering.

Gazza, the River Trent does not go through Shrewsbury, do you mean the River Severn?

I'm pretty sure Chase water is for ski boats and the sailing club only
